(The Art of Magic and the Magic of Art)
The definition of magic is that it is a mystery created by an illusion. Art, on the other hand, is an illusion created to reveal a mystery. That mystery begins in the mind of the artist who imagines, "What if...?" and then proceeds to recreate it so it can be shared with others, and hopefully to sell it.
I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU SOME QUOTES BY FAMOUS ARTISTS:
A man paints with his brains and not with his hands.
Vincent van Gogh
.......An artist needn't be a clergyman or a churchwarden, but he certainly must have a warm heart for his fellow men.
Are we to paint what's on the face, what's inside the face, or what's behind it?
.......Art is a lie that makes us realize truth.
Leonardo da Vinci.......
Beyond a doubt truth bears the same relation to falsehood as light to darkness.
.......Color is my day long obsession, joy and torment.
........Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.
